Our Haiti Efforts What humbles us...Guaranteed to put a smile on your face!

Hi I’m Dr Roger Abbott, I went to Haiti to show my two sons what poor really means and how lucky we are to be Americans.

In 2011 and 2012, one son, an assistant, and I joined a dental mission team going to Haiti. We set up a make-shift clinic at an orphanage of 600 children. We would travel for two days and treat the children for two days. What an experience and what great patients!

One son said it to me best, “Dad, I’m a changed man!” That was it, Haiti was under my skin.

In 2013 14’ and 15’, Dental TLC formed our own group of 10 staff, myself and two dental classmates. We wanted the kids to have access to care twice a year. Of course, we named ourselves “Haiti TLC!” We paid for the trips ourselves taking no donations.

Watching the effect that experience has had on those who made those trips has enriched my life beyond words! We are so lucky to live in the United States of America.
